If you are accepted to publish with us, a publishing package covers editing, typesetting, cover design, registration with Nielsen, ISBN number and barcode, pricing, printing, distribution to our sellers, selling on our website and basic marketing.
We will work with you to decide the number of books to print initially based on our gauge of how your publication will sell.
You can publish 400, 1000 or 2500+ in a first run, with subsequent reprinting possible when your books sell out.
Once you are accepted by us you can apply for a grant, and we can have informal conversations about grants and raising funds as soon as you get in touch.
This is a good option if your book has a more niche audience, if you are hoping to sell exclusively through independent bookshops, or if you have a more limited initial budget and hope to reinvest your profit in reprinting.
If we are confident that we will achieve 1000 initial sales we will suggest this option. This package can work solely in partnership with independent shops or we can include sellers like Amazon and Waterstones too.
If your book has real mass appeal then a bigger initial print will be necessary. Printing more books isn't just about the content though, and typically works best in conjunction with a bigger marketing budget.
